Smither Park In Houston

The Smither Park located at 2402 Munger Street in Houston, Texas features mosaic art, all created by local artists. The art is constructed from various recycled materials, including beads, hubcaps, glass, ceramics, dishes and mirrors.

The park is open to the public seven days a week and there is no entrance fee. Parking is plentiful and within walking distance of the park. Visiting the amazing Smither Park is something that everyone should do and it only takes about an hour and a half to complete the walk-through.

Great For Picnicking

Many of the locals, including the students at the University of Houston, spend their downtime in the Smither Park. While most people go to the park to see the mosaic art, the locals utilize the park for picnicking and relaxing. There are picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park for family outings, birthday parties and lunchbreaks. The park is very well maintained by a group of local volunteers.

The mosaic art housed in the Smither Park is unique, creative and colorful. The artisans literally thought of everything.
